How it works

From add-on to server-ready in three steps

Grab the mod

Choose an add-on vehicle from GTA5-Mods or LibertyCity. You want the archive that contains the .yft, .ytd and .meta files.

Add your mod

Drop in a .zip, .rar or .oiv — or paste the mod page link and we fetch it. ConvertFive sorts every asset and detects the spawn name.

Ship the resource

Download a clean resource folder with a generated fxmanifest.lua — stream/ and data/ already wired up for FiveM.

FAQ

Questions, answered

What exactly does the converter do?

It takes an add-on vehicle archive and restructures it into a FiveM resource: model assets go into a stream/ folder, .meta files go into data/, and a fxmanifest.lua is generated that registers every meta file with the correct data_file loader.

Is my file stored anywhere?

No. Archives are processed in-memory on the server only long enough to build your resource, then discarded. Nothing is written to disk or kept after the download is generated.

Which archive formats and files are supported?

You can upload .zip, .rar and .oiv archives, or paste a GTA5-Mods or LibertyCity page link and we grab the file for you. Inside, the converter looks for the vehicle model files (.yft, .ytd) and metadata files (vehicles.meta, carvariations.meta, carcols.meta, handling.meta) that most add-on cars ship with. For .7z downloads, extract them on your PC and re-pack the car files as .zip or .rar first.

The car spawns but has no handling or colors — why?

That usually means the mod was missing a .meta file. Check the warnings after converting. You can drop any missing .meta into the data/ folder and add a matching data_file line to fxmanifest.lua.

Is this affiliated with Rockstar, FiveM or the mod sites?

No. ConvertFive is an independent, unofficial utility for the modding community. GTA, FiveM, GTA5-Mods and LibertyCity are owned by their respective parties.
